Xiaomi has introduced a new variant of its Mi A2 Android One smartphone featuring 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage. The handset is now available for purchase at an introductory price tag of Rs 17,999 exclusively through Amazon India. After the introductory period, the handset will be priced at Rs 19,999.
On Amazon India, the newly introduced 128 GB Xiaomi Mi A2 is listed in colors like Black, Blue, Red and Gold. Among these, only the Black and Red variants are currently available for purchase. As far as launch offers are concerned, buyers of the new variant can avail no cost EMIs, and up to Rs 2,000 cashback on MakeMyTrip, Swiggy, Freshmenu and Eazy Diner. Mi A2 buyers with ICICI credit and debit cards and Citibank credit cards can avail 10 percent cashback.
The smartphone is also listed on Mi.com. However, the official store will be carrying out the sales of the new variant from October 27th. Mi.com is providing offers like Ixigo coupons worth Rs 3,500, instant cashback of Rs 2,200, additional 4.5 TB data from Reliance Jio and a 3-month free subscription to Hungama Music.
During the launch event of the Xiaomi Mi A2 in August, the company had introduced the phone with 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage at a price of Rs 16,999, whereas the cost of the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant was not confirmed.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is an Android One phone that delivers a stock Android experience of Oreo since it does not feature the MIUI skin. It features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen produces full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
In terms of optics, the handset features a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 front-facing camera and a dual camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel Sony IMX476 primary sensor and a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 secondary sensor. It is fueled by a 3,010mAha battery that is equipped with support for Quick Charge 4+.
