Recently we reported that the Android 10 update for Xiaomi’s Mi A3 smartphone was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The smartphone was launched last July and is a part of the Android One program. At the time of launch, Xiaomi had confirmed that the Mi A3 will be one of the first smartphones to receive Android 10. Now the Chinese smartphone maker has finally started rolling out Android 10 update in a phased manner. The Mi A3 currently runs Android 9 Pie.
The version number of Android 10 update of Mi A3 is V220.127.116.11.QFQMIXM and its size is 1.3GB. The latest Android 10 update brings the February Android security patch and also offers several new software features and optimisations. Users can check the for the update manually by going to Settings > System > Software updates. Android 10 introduces a system-wide dark mode, live captions, gesture-based navigation, privacy controls and digital wellbeing.

The Mi A3 sports an S-AMOLED FHD+ display measuring 6.01-inches. There is a waterdrop notch on the top and the phone features an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is available in Not Just Blue, More Than White and Kind of Grey colour options. The back of the phone houses a triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth shooter. The device is fitted with a 32MP selfie snapper.
The Mi A3 is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The smartphone is backed by a 4,030mAh battery unit with support for 18W charging via a USB-C port.
The Mi A3 received a permanent price cut last month. The base variant i.e 4GB + 64GB is priced at Rs 11,999 while the 6GB + 128GB model retails at Rs 14,999. The smartphone can be purchased from Flipkart, Amazon and Mi.com.
