Xiaomi Mi A3 with triple cameras and Snapdragon 665 launched in India: price, specifications

In July, Xiaomi had launched the Mi CC9, Mi CC9e and Mi CC9e Meitu Edition smartphones in China. Later that month, the Chinese brand unveiled the Mi A3 at an event in Spain. The Mi A3 was made official as Android One edition of the Mi CC9 phone. Today, the company has officially launched the Mi A3 in India.

Xiaomi has released the Mi A3 in two variants. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage edition of the phone carries a price tag of Rs 12,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the smartphone costs Rs 15,999. The three colour variants of the Mi A3 are Not Just Blue, More Than White and Kind of Grey.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 will be exclusively available for purchase through Amazon India. Its first sale will be held on the retailer’s site on August 23rd. The handset can be also bought through, Mi Homes and partner stores.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi A3 is pretty much identical to the Mi CC9e. The only major difference is that Mi A3 being an Android One phone runs a stock version of Android 9 Pie, whereas the Mi CC9e features MIUI 10.

The Mi A3 is equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 panels on its front and rear. It has an S-AMOLED display measuring 6.01-inches with full HD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. After the Realme 5 that debuted yesterday, the Xiaomi Mi A3 is the second phone to launch in India with the Snapdragon 665 chipset. The handset features up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage. There is a hybrid SIM slot onboard for expanding the storage of the device.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 features a vertical triple camera setup followed by an LED flash on its rear. It includes a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel lens with f/2.4 aperture for adding depth effects. The camera module is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Placed inside the notch of the Mi A3 is its f/2.0 32-megapixel selfie snapper. The handset is equipped with a 4,030mAh battery that carries support for 18W Quick Charge 3.0 through USB Type-C. The other connectivity features of the Mi A3 include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
