Xiaomi Mi AirPOP PM2.5 Anti-Pollution Mask Launched In India For Rs 249

On: January 3, 2019

With the rising pollution levels in major Indian cities. Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has launched an Anti-Pollution Mask in the country. Last September, Xiaomi had announced the Air Purifier 2S in India. Xiaomi’s latest device has been dubbed as Mi AirPOP PM2.5 Anti-Pollution Mask.

As the name suggests, the new air mask will filter out small PM2.5 particulate matters from the air. Xiaomi claims that it offers 99 percent PM2.5 protection. The air mask comes with four layers of filtration which includes a primary layer, support mesh, electrostatic microfiltration layer, and water permeable layer. This helps in combating air pollutants entering the nostrils and mouth of the users. Design-wise, the air mask is made for everyday wear and has a leather texture cover with a silicone material inside, as well as a large vortex breathing valve. It is portable and can be folded to carry it anywhere. The mask is available in a single Black color.

The Mi AirPOP PM2.5 Anti-Pollution Mask is already up for purchase. A pack of two masks can be grabbed for Rs.249 on Xiaomi’s own website- starting at 12 pm today.  It is unclear whether the Mi AirPOP PM2.5 Anti-Pollution Mask will be available through flash sale or if Xiaomi will make it available freely.
