Xiaomi Mi Box 4K, Mi TV Stick users can avail OTT subscription offers: discounts on ZEE5, Sony LIV and more

Xiaomi has been trying to take a pie of the media streaming device market in India. The company now offers two devices in the form of Mi Box 4K and Mi TV Stick in the country. Now, to make these devices appeal to consumers more, it has announced new offers from top content partners.

Xiaomi knows that content is the king on streaming devices. In order to make the purchase of these streaming dongles interesting, it is offering benefits of up to Rs 2,400 on purchase of plans from leading content providers. The deals are available from content partners including Zee5, SonyLIV, Eros Now, Hungama Play among others.

Xiaomi claims to offer benefits up to Rs 2,400 with the purchase of Mi Box 4K or Mi TV Stick. With the purchase of either of these streaming dongles, SonyLiv annual subscription is available with 10 percent off on annual subscription. The annual subscription is priced at Rs 999 but Mi Box 4K or Mi TV Stick users can get it at discounted price of Rs 899.

With the purchase of a ZEE5 subscription, you get four months extra worth Rs 396 for free. The annual subscription of ZEE5 costs Rs 999. Other offers include a 25 percent discount on the annual subscription of Eros Now. The service costs Rs 399 per year but Mi Box 4K and Mi TV Stick users get it for Rs 299.

You can also get a one month free trial of Hungama Play, amounting to a saving of Rs 149. There is 20 percent off on monthly or annual subscriptions of Shemaroo Me and 35 percent off on all plans from Epic on. Other offers include 50 percent off on Docubay’s annual or quarterly subscription. Aha is available with a 51 percent discount on the annual pack.

With Mi Box 4K or Mi TV Stick, you can also get 30 percent off on all plans from Hoichoi. The two popular streaming services – Disney+ Hotstar and Netflix – are not getting any offers on these devices.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 4K, as the name implies, is an Ultra HD streaming device. It runs Android TV platform with a custom user interface. Powered by a quad-core processor, it packs 2GB of RAM and 8GB storage. It also supports Dolby Audio and has built-in Chromecast Ultra. The streaming device is available for Rs 3,499.

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick specifications and price

Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is a plug and play device that can turn any non-smart TV into a smart TV. It also uses a quad-core processor but has only 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage. It runs Android 9 TV platform and offers access to over 5,000 apps. It is available for Rs 2,299 and comes preloaded with Google’s Data Saver feature.
