Xiaomi is reportedly working on two new smartphones]; Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e. Recently, a new smartphone with model number M1904F3BC/T was listed on the 3C website, a Chinese certification agency. While Xiaomi hasn’t announced anything, the alleged spec sheet and prices of the devices have been leaked online.
As for the leaked specifications, the Mi CC9 is the higher-end variant among the two. The former is tipped to come in three RAM and storage configurations of 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The Mi CC9 will sport an AMOLED display while the CC9e will feature an IPS LCD panel. Both smartphones will feature a waterdrop notch on the top. However, there’s no information regarding the display size. The Mi CC9 also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner compared to the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the CC9e.
Under the hood, the Mi CC9 houses a Snapdragon 730 chipset. It will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery unit with support for 27W fast charging. The toned-down CC9e will be equipped with a Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The device will be backed by the same 4,000mAh battery unit but with 18W fast charging support.
On the camera front, the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e are rumored to come with a 48MP main snapper. Both the devices are claimed to be selfie-centric smartphones with a 32MP front shooter. The former may also come with a triple rear camera setup and the latter with dual cameras. Both smartphones are also expected to come with NFC payment support.
As for the pricing, the Mi CC9 will start at 2,499 Yuan (~Rs 25,218) for the base variant. The 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB options are expected to cost 2,799 Yuan (~Rs 28,245) and 3,099 Yuan (~Rs 31,272) respectively. The toned-down CC9e may carry a price tag of 1,599 Yuan (~Rs 16,135).
