Xiaomi’s new Mi CC series is all set to make its debut in China tomorrow. Just a day before the official unveiling, Xiaomi has released the Mi CC series “official Q&A” on Weibo, confirming that it plans to launch not two but three new smartphones tomorrow. In addition to the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e, the Chinese smartphone maker will also introduce the rumored Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition.
Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition to Debut Alongside the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e
The Mi CC series of smartphones, as announced by the company previously, will be new series of trendy camera phones targeted at young consumers around the world. Since Xiaomi has already hinted at targeting a global audience with the Mi CC series phones, there is a good chance of the Mi CC9 and Mi CC9e making their way to markets such as India just a few weeks after their launch in China.
Xiaomi Mi CC9 and Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition phones are expected to come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display featuring Full HD+ resolution and an In-display fingerprint sensor. Both models will be available in multiple memory configurations with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Keeping the lights on will be a 3940mAh (minimum) capacity battery. On the back of the two phones will have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. For selfies, all three Mi series smartphones will have a 32MP snapper on the front with the camera software developed by the Meitu team. Another fun feature that may attract many younger buyers will be Mimoji. As the name suggests, Mimoji is Xiaomi’s take on Apple’s Animoji feature. Android OEMs such as Samsung, Huawei, and OPPO had also come out with a similar feature in the recent past. In terms of software, the three phones are likely to ship with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.
