Xiaomi Launches Android-based Mi LED TV 4 Pro, 4A Pro and 4C Pro, prices start at Rs 14,999

Alongside the launch of several new smart home products, Xiaomi also expanded its range of Mi TVs in the subcontinent. The company announced the launch of its newest Mi TV 4 series in India. These televisions are available in three different panel sizes i.e 32-, 49- and 55-inch. Let’s take a look at their technical specifications.

The Mi TV 4 Pro is touted as the world’s thinnest LED TV.  It measures only 4.9 mm in thickness. The TV sports a 55-inch 4K UHD display bearing a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Stepping down from 4 Pro is 4A Pro. It offers a 49-inch Full HD display. Both the Mi TV 4 Pro and 4A Pro are equipped with an HDR feature that offer better picture quality and vibrant colours. The base model i.e. Mi TV 4C Pro features a 32-inch HD ready display without HDR support.

In terms of audio, the 4A Pro and 4C Pro feature 20W stereo speakers with DTS HD technology. The Mi TV 4 Pro is equipped with Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound for superior sound output.

Under the hood, all the Mi TV’s are powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic processor. The 4 Pro (55) TV packs 2GB RAM and a Mali T-830 GPU onboard. The 4A Pro and 4C Pro are equipped with 2GB and 1GB RAM respectively along with Mali-450 GPU onboard. In terms of storage, all the three TV’s offer 8GB internal memory.

Specs aside, all the three models are built on Android TV. They offer access to a broad range of Google content including the Google Play Store, YouTube, Music, Movies and over 3600+ compatible TV apps and games, thanks to the support for Android TV. The televisions run Patchwall OS, Xiaomi’s customised OS for TVs that integrates the functionality of the set-top box with the user interface of the TV. It is also equipped with Chromecast built-in that lets you cast content from your smartphone to the Mi TV. Along with the TV, the Mi Remote comes with a voice search feature that lets you find content across online streaming services. 

As for connectivity, the Mi TV 4 Pro offers 3 HDMI ports (1 ARC), one USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 port each. The 4A Pro and 4C Pro come with 3 HDMI (1 ARC), and 2 USB ports. In addition, there’s also an Ethernet port. All the three models feature Wi-FI and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.

Pricing & Availability of Xiaomi’s new TVs in India

Xiaomi has priced the Mi TV 4 Pro at Rs. 49,999. The Mi TV 4A Pro carries a price tag of Rs. 29,999, while the 4C Pro is the most affordable of the trio and will retail at Rs. 14,999. All the three TVs will be available to buy on and, with their offline availability set for a later date.
