Xiaomi’s premium flagship device Mi Mix 2 was launched at a price of Rs. 35,999 in October last year. The Chinese brand had slashed the prices by Rs. 3000 in January this year and it was available at Rs. 32,999 since then. Now, the phone has again received a price cut of the same amount. This brings the current effective price of the Mi Mix 2 to Rs. 29,999. Availability stays the same, you can get one online from Flipkart, Mi.com and offline through Mi Home.
Talking about the specifications of the device, it is a top-end phone that comes with all the features you would expect from a flagship smartphone. One of the major highlights of the device is the stunning bezel-less display and an unique approach taken to achieve it. The front camera is housed on the bottom chin which asks you to invert the phone in order to take a selfie. This is done to achieve a complete bezel-less look on the top, there are virtually no bezels on the top as well as on the sides.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 rocks a 5.99-inch Full HD+ bezel-less display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. In the camera department, the phone has a 12-megapixel single camera on the rear and another 5-megapixel sensor on the front. You can also record 4K videos on this phone.
It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which is coupled with 6GB of RAM for blazing fast processing and multi-tasking. The phone has got MIUI 9, Xiaomi’s own customized UI on top of Android Oreo. There is 128GB of internal storage on the phone but since there is no microSD card slot, you will have to settle with the provided storage. A 3400mAh battery powers the phone and it also gets support for Qualcomm Fast Charge 3.0.
Xiaomi has already launched the Mi Mix 2S in China earlier this year. There is no official word regarding the phone’s India launch. But after this price cut, the brand might be looking forward to announce the new variant and offer the older one at a discounted price.
