Xiaomi introduced the Mi Mix in 2016 as one of its first smartphones to flaunt a nearly bezel-less display. The phone was succeeded by the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in 2017, Mi Mix 2s and Mi Mix 3 in 2018, Mi Mix 3 5G and Mi Mix Alpha concept smartphone in 2019. The Chinese tech giant now seems to be planning to introduce yet another Mi Mix series offering called the Mi Mix 2020 in the near future. While the brand is yet to confirm the existence of the Mi Mix 2020, a gadget tipster on Weibo who goes by the name Digital Chat Station has revealed a couple of features of the phone.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 specifications and features
The Mi Mix 2020’s real predecessor was the Mi Mix 3, as the recently announced Mi Mix Alpha is a concept smartphone. The Mi Mix 3 arrived with a slide-out selfie camera module. The phone offers a nearly bezel-less display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset offers a 6.39-inch AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Under the hood, the device has the Snapdragon 845 processor, which is aided by up to 10GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
In terms of imaging, the Mi Mix 3 offers two 12MP primary cameras on the back. The main sensor is a wide-angle Sony IMX363 lens featuring an aperture of f/1.8, while the secondary camera is an S5K3M3+ telephoto lens. The camera app of the device is equipped with dual-phase detection autofocus, AI scene detection, 4-axis optical image stabilisation, and portrait imaging. For selfies, the device is fitted with a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor, which is accompanied by a 2MP secondary snapper. A 3,200mAh battery keeps the whole package alive.
