Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship the Mi Mix 3 at an event held in Beijing. The third generation device comes with same display as its predecessor but has a new camera design. There are a few upgrades in terms of technical specifications as well. Let’s take a look below:
Display & Design:
The Mi Mix 3 features the same edge-to-edge bezel less display like its predecessor. It flaunts a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel. The device features an impressive 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio for immersive viewing. Design-wise, the Mi Mix 3 has curved edges with a slim body. The back of the phone houses a vertical camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has added a sliding camera module for its front camera. This feature was previously seen on the Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex to accommodate the edge-to-edge display. The Mi Mix 3 is available in Black, Green, and Blue color options.
In the photography department, the Mi Mix 3 is equipped with dual cameras on the front and rear. The rear camera consists of 12MP +12MP Sony IMX 363 sensors. One is a wide angle lens and the other is telephoto lens. Upfront, the retractable camera slider houses a 24MP+2MP dual module accompanied by selfie light. The selfie camera pops up by sliding up the back, unlike Oppo Find X and Vivo Nex where the slider is powered by motors. Xiaomi has added a host of features and AI-capabilities for enhancing the quality of images to produce better results in low light conditions. The smartphone is capable of recording slow-mo videos at 960 frames per second.
The Mi Mix 3 has achieved a DxOMark score of 103, hitting 108 for photos and 93 for videos.
