The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro from 2015 and Mi Note 2 from 2016 were flagship devices. The Mi Note 3 launched in 2017 was a mid-ranger, however, and until now, there hasn’t been a new device launched in the series. In June this year, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had said that the company won’t be releasing new smartphones in the Mi Max and Mi Note series. The statement had put to rest all the rumours surrounding the Mi Note 3’s successor. A reliable tipster from China now claims that Xiaomi will be announcing the Mi Note 10 by the end of this month. Hence, it appears that the company has not given up on the Mi Note series yet.

At present, there is no information available on the specifications of the Mi Note 10. Unlike the Mi Note 3 that was a mid-range device, the rumored Mi Note 10 will be a flagship phone. Hence, is likely to feature the Snapdragon 855+ chipset that is clocked at 2.96GHz. It is advisable to wait for further reports to know more on the specifications of the next Mi Note phone.
In related news, XDA Developers was able to find information about a new flagship phone by scrutinizing the MIUI 11 beta ROM. A new setting that allows users to toggle between 60Hz and 120Hz refresh rate was found. At present, none of the Xiaomi phones available in the market carry support for a 120Hz refresh rate. Hence, it appears that the Chinese firm may have a phone with 120Hz refresh rate display in the pipeline.
The publication also revealed that it found references such as “tele 5x”, “ultra tele” and a line about 50x zoom. These findings suggest that a forthcoming Xiaomi phone will offer 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. A for a phone to record 8K videos at 30fps was also found.
The Mi Note series have never released in India. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Mi Note 10 will debut in the country.
