Xiaomi Mi Note 10 with 108MP penta camera setup launched alongside the Redmi Note 8T

Yesterday, Xiaomi introduced its latest C series smartphone called the Mi CC9 Pro in its home market of China. Today, the company has launched the same device as the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 in European markets. There’s also a Mi Note 10 Pro model which comes in a higher RAM and storage configuration. Apart from these two, the phone maker has also announced its latest mid-range smartphone called the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T at the same event. This one is just a variant of the Redmi Note 8 with support for NFC connectivity.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 specifications and features

Talking about the Mi Note 10 first, the phone offers a 108MP main camera at the rear with a 7P lens, 1/1.33-inch sensor, OIS, 4-in-1 Super Pixel support, and RAW multi-frame noise reduction algorithm. The main sensor is supported by a 12MP 2PD sensor with 2X zoom, and a 5MP telephoto lens with support for 10x hybrid zoom, 50x digital zoom and 5x optical zoom. There’s also a 20MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video-calling, the handset has a 32MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0.

As for the other specs, the Mi Note 10 offers a 6.47-inch full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G processor, which is aided by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Software-wise, the device boots the latest MIUI 11 version that’s based on Android 9 Pie. There’s a next-gen slimmer in-display fingerprint sensor onboard. A 5,260mAh battery with 30W fast charging support completes the list of the specs. The Mi Note 10 Pro model has the same specs as the Mi Note, except that its main 108MP camera has an 8P lens (instead of 7P), and it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Moving on to the Redmi Note 8T, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, splash-resistant design, and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. The handset has a 48MP primary camera at the rear with PDAF, EIS, and f/1.79 aperture. There also are three other cameras including an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro shooter. In the front, the mid-ranger houses a 13MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

Coming to the other specs of the Redmi Note 8T, the phone has a 6.39-inch full HD+ display, and is powered by the Snapdragon 665 processor. The device has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, NFC, USB Type-C, and A-GPS with GLONASS. A 4,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support keeps the whole package running.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 has been priced at €549 (~Rs 43,200), while the Mi Note 10 Pro will be available for €649 (~Rs 51,000). They come in three colour variants – Aurora Green, Glacier White, and Midnight Black. They will go on sale in Spain and Italy from November 15th, and in France from November 18th.

As for the Redmi Note 8T costs €199 (~Rs 15,600), and comes in Moonshadow Grey, Starscape Blue, and Moonlight White colour variants. The phone will be available in Spain and Italy from November 8th, and in France and Germany on November 13th and November 15th respectively.
