Xiaomi’s new Mi Notebook has been teased once again. The company had recently posted a teasers, which revealed that the next laptop from the brand will come with a backlit keyboard. A new cryptic tweet by Xiaomi India’s Chief Business Officer Reddy hints at the aspect ratio that will be offered by the device.
Xiaomi entered the laptop market in India last year. So far, the company has released models like Mi Notebook 14, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition (review), Mi Notebook 14 e-Learning Edition, and Mi Notebook 14 (IC). Based on recent reports, the company may announce as many as two new Mi Notebook models in India. These devices are likely to go official through the upcoming Mi Smarter Living 2022 launch event.

The outline of the upcoming Mi Notebook in the above tweet suggests that it will come equipped with a webcam and slim bezels. Most computer displays and laptops available in the market offer an aspect ratio of 16:10. This ratio is close to the golden ratio, which is approximately 1.1618 that can be seen in mentioned in the tweet. Hence, it appears the next Mi Notebook will offer a 16:10 aspect ratio display.
Recent reports have claimed Xiaomi’s next laptops will be called Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15. According to 91mobiles, these models are likely to arrive as a rebadged version of the RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook 15 Pro
Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15 specifications (expected)
The Mi Notebook Pro 14 will feature a 14-inch 2.5K display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 56Wh battery with 65W charging through a USB Type-C port. The Mi Notebook Ultra 15 will come with a 15.6-inch 3.2K display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 70Wh battery that supports 100W fast charging through a USB Type-C port.
Both models will feature Intel’s 11th gen. Core i7 / i5 processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. These models will run Windows 10 Home and will offer other features such as a fingerprint scanner, DTA Audio enabled 4W speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio/microphone jack.
