Over the last couple of days, Xiaomi created quite a stir by teasing a new product launch in India. Xiaomi officials, including India MD Manu Kumar Jain were seen banging down the of their lid laptops and saying “It’s Time!“. While the teasers hinted at a laptop launch, the wordplay on ‘time’ had many second-guessing that Xiaomi might be teasing the Mi Watch instead.
However, the brand went on to confirm that its next product would indeed be a laptop. Now, Xiaomi has announced it is launching a Mi Notebook in the country, and also revealed the launch date of the same.

Xiaomi has sent out launch invites for the Mi Notebook, which will take place on June 11th at 12pm. As per a tweet by Manu Kumar Jain, the product will make its global debut in India, and will be both an India-exclusive and a ‘Made for India’ product.
Xiaomi has also put up a dedicated page on its official website, revealing a few key specs of the laptop. The page confirms that the laptop will come with a sleek design and full HD display with minimum bezels. We can also see an Intel Core i7 processor on the website, along with what appears to be SSD storage and good battery backup.
There were reports recently that Xiaomi might launch a rebranded RedmiBook 13 in the country. However, with Jain confirming that the product will an India-exclusive, the laptop appears to be an entirely new model.
