Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus Announced with Bigger Screen and Battery

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 tablet was unveiled at the end of June. It was introduced in Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. A newer version of the Xiaomi tablet called Mi Pad 4 Plus that supports both LTE and Wi-Fi was announced today. Compared to the Mi Pad 4, all the new Plus edition of the tablet comes with a larger display and a bigger screen.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus sports the same design as Mi Pad 4. Its dimensions are 245.6 x 149.1 x 8mm and it weighs 485 grams. It is fitted with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD screen that supports Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The tablet offers screen-to-body ratio of 80.8 percent and an aspect ratio of 16:10.

The Snapdragon 660 chipset is present under the hood of the Mi Pad 4. The MIUI 10 flavored Android 8.1 Oreo OS comes preloaded with the tablet. The base model features 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64 GB. The higher model is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 128 GB. The massive tablet receives power from a huge battery of 8,620mAh capacity. The device carries support for 5V/2A charger.

The Mi Pad 4 Plus is equipped with a rear camera of 13-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. It has a 5-mgeapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The tablet also carries support for face unlock. A fingerprint scanner enabled home button is available on the device. The other features of the tablet include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, single nano-SIM support, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Mi Pad Plus is now available on reservations in China. The official sales of the smartphone will begin on 16th August in the home country. The 64 GB and 128 GB storage editions of the Mi Pad 4 Plus with respective pricing of 1,899 Yuan (~Rs. 19,300) and 2,099 Yuan (~Rs. 21,350). The tablet comes in two color choices such as Black and Gold. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on whether Xiaomi will be releasing the tablet in India.
