Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 with Smart Pen stylus to launch in China on August 10th

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is set to launch in China on August 10th. It will debut alongside the Mi Mix 4 smartphone. The brand has shared a teaser poster of the upcoming tablet confirming that it will feature support for a stylus pen.

The teaser poster doesn’t reveal any key details of the Mi Pad 5 but it is expected to pack flagship specifications and compete against the likes of Galaxy Tab S7 FE, iPad Air, Huawei MatePad and others in the market.

The Mi Pad 5 will support S-Pen

The upcoming tablet from Xiaomi has passed multiple certification sites. The Mi Pad 5’s Smart Pen stylus was spotted on FCC with model number M2107K81PC. Not much is known about the Smart Pen but it will likely support Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. 

As per rumours, the Mi Pad 5 is tipped to sport a 10.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. It will likely feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. The device will reportedly come with a square-shaped dual camera module housing a 48MP primary sensor. 

Internally, the Mi Pad 5 is expected to be offered in different configurations, one powered by Snapdragon 870 processor and another equipped with a Snapdragon 860 SoC. We can also expect various RAM and storage variants of the tablet. The upcoming device is tipped to be backed by an 8,720mAh battery unit with support for 33W or 67W fast charging. 

We will know more details about the Mi Pad 5 at the launch event next week.
