Mi Rabbit Children’s Watch 2S with colour display goes official in China

Earlier this month, Xiaomi entered the smartwatch market with the launch of Mi Watch. Now the China-based brand has launched a new children-centric smartwatch. The device is dubbed the Mi Rabbit Children’s Watch 2S. Xiaomi says that the affordably-priced watch comes with features that will help students with their studies. Let’s take a look below.

Mi Rabbit Children’s Watch 2S specifications and features

Xiaomi’s children-centric smartwatch features a square-shaped 1.3-inch colour display. The IPS panel bears a resolution of 240 x 240-pixels. The screen is protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass. In terms of design, the smartwatch features a plastic body and weighs just 44 grams, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day. The Mi Rabbit Children’s Watch 2S is IPX8 water and dust resistant, and is available in Pink and Blue colour options. 

The Mi Rabbit Watch 2S features AI real-time positioning that gives accurate location information of the user to the parent’s smartphone via an app. The watch also comes with an inbuilt AI assistant called XiaoAI classmate that will provide answers to questions and play music. It also has classroom-friendly features that allow only SOS messages and time checking. 

On the connectivity front, the Mi Rabbit Watch 2S has a nano-SIM slot for cellular connection. There is also Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity onboard. The smartwatch is backed by a 600mAh battery unit which is rated to last up to seven days on a full charge.

Xiaomi has priced the Mi Rabbit Children’s Watch 2S for RMB 199 (~Rs 2,020). The device is currently selling in China and can be purchased from Xiaomi Mall. There is no word about international availability yet.
