Xiaomi is reportedly working on a smartphone dubbed as Mi S which is a smaller version of the company’s flagship device, Mi5s. The device is said to pack all the specs exactly same as the Mi5s but with a smaller 4.6-inch screen and a smaller battery.
The Mi S will sport a 4.6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and brightness up to 600 nits. It will be powered by the latest quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone will include 128GB of inbuilt storage using the UFS 2.0 technology.
It is said to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top. It also features a fingerprint scanner integrated into home button, however, it is not yet confirmed whether it will be Ultrasonic fingerprint or not.
Coming on to the camera section, the Mi S will feature a 12MP rear camera backed with Sonu IMX378 sensor. The rear camera is also accompanied with a dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and is capable of 4K video recording as well as slo-mo at 720p. On front, it flaunts a 4MP camera with 80-degree wide lens which records 1080p videos.
The Mi S is dual SIM phone and supports 4G LTE on both the nano SIM card slots. It also features Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C port and weighs 138 gms. It packs in a 2600mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
