After the unveiling of the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones today, Xiaomi also unveiled the Mi TV 4 in India. It was launched in three sizes i.e. 49 inches, 55 inches and 65 inches in China last year. However, India is receiving only the 55-inch variant that has a model number of L55M5-AI. This 4K LED TV has arrived in the country with an affordable pricing of only Rs. 39,999.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 Specifications and Features
Xiaomi’s very first TV for India – Mi TV 4, is also the world’s thinnest LED TV. It sports a super-slim design of only 4.9 mm and its mega 55-inch display is surrounded by very thin bezels. It carries support for 4K UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. It is powered by 64-bit Amlogic quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM.
It features an internal storage of 8 GB. For immersive sound experience, Mi TV 4 comes equipped with support for Dolby Audio and dts-HD. The connectivity features available on the Mi TV 4 include Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz/5 GHz, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy), Ethernet, 3 x HDMI ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 S/PDIF port and 1 AV port. The LED TV by Xiaomi also comes with a 11-button Bluetooth enabled remote control.
The Xiaomi Mi TV 4 is loaded with PatchWall, a customized OS for TV that integrates the functionality of the set-top box with the user interface of the TV. This makes it easier for the users to easily switch between the content of the set-top box and online TV. By using the Mi IR cable, both the content can be accessed with Bluetooth remote control. The Mi TV 4 provides its users with 500,000+ hours of content through popular media service providers like Hotstar, Voot, ALT Balaji, Zee 5 and more.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 Pricing and Availability
The first sale of the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 will begin on 22nd February at Mi Home stores, Mi.com and Flipkart. Mi TV 4 buyers will be getting freebies like free on-site installation worth Rs. 1,099, Mi IR cable worth Rs. 299 and free subscription of Sony LIV and Hungama Play worth Rs. 619.
