As expected, Xiaomi organised its “Smarter Living 2020” event today in Bangalore and launched a host of new devices and appliances in India. The launch event witnessed the uncovering of the Mi Band 4 with first-ever colour display, Mi Water Purifier and the newest Mi TV 4X. The latest TV offering from the brand is significant in the way that it’s the largest television from the brand so far and also comes with the Netflix and Amazon Prime Video integrated support, which is a first for a Xiaomi TV.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4X Price in India, Availability
Xiaomi has launched the all-new Mi TV 4X in three display sizes in India. You can buy the TV in 43-inch, 50-inch and 65-inch sizes, with all of them being 4K HDR10 displays. The base variant will cost you Rs 24,999, whereas the top end model has been priced at Rs 54,999 . You will have to shell out Rs 29,999 for the mid-range 50-inch model. There’s a new Mi TV 4A model as well that offers a 40-inch display and will retail for Rs 17,999.
The new Mi TV 4X 65-inch, 43-inch and Mi TV 4A 40-inch will be available starting midnight on September 29th and will be available from Mi.com as well as Flipkart. The 50-inch model will go on sale at the same time but will be available on Amazon instead of Flipkart. Xiaomi also announced that the new televisions will be made available in Mi Homes and offline stores soon.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4X specifications, features
As mentioned before, the Mi TV 4X will be available in display size up to 65-inch, which is the largest from the brand yet. All three models will be flaunting 4K HDR10 enabled panels with minimal bezels all around. The largest model also gets Vivid Picture Engine, Wide Colour Gamut and Reality Flow feature. The Vivid Picture Engine is a proprietary imaging processor to enhance picture quality. The Reality Flow is MEMC (Motion Estimation/Motion Compilation) that reduces latency during the scene shift and facilitates a much smoother viewing and gaming experience. Notably, the 43-inch and 50-inch models don’t have these features. The audio department is handled by 20W built-in speakers.
Xiaomi has also announced that for the first time ever, Mi TV 4X will feature integrated support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The much-awaited apps will also come to a number of existing televisions in Xiaomi’s lineup including Mi TV 4A. On the software front, the Mi TV 4X runs Xiaomi’s Patchwall interface and users can also switch to Android TV (Android 9.0 Pie) with Google Assistant if that’s what they want. There’s also a Data Saver feature to reduce the data consumption while streaming content. For connectivity, the TV offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB, HDMI and more.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 40 specifications, features
Xiaomi already has Mi TV 4A Pro in 32-inch and 43-inch display sizes in India. Today, the brand introduced another model in the series called the Mi TV 4A (40) and as the name suggests, the TV comes with a 40-inch screen with Full HD resolution. Apart from this, the features of the TV are same as that of base variant of the Mi TV 4X including the support for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Apart from new TVs, Xiaomi also announced that the Xiaomi Mi Soundbar will now be available in a black colourway as well. Notably, when the Mi Soundbar was initially launched, a large chunk of prospective buyers showed keen interest in the black colour.
