Mi TV 5X to launch in India on August 26th, key features revealed

The Xiaomi Mi TV 5X India launch has been confirmed. It will debut alongside several other products at 12pm on August 26th through Xiaomi’s Mi Smarter Living 2022 event. A microsite of the TV has gone live on Xiaomi India’s website to reveal its key features.

The Mi TV 5X will be arriving as the successor to the Mi TV 4X series that debuted in 2019 and last year. The landing page of the Mi TV 5X reveals that it will be a premium offering from the brand. However, the company is yet to reveal its specifications.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 5X will be equipped with slim bezels to offer a full-screen viewing experience. The company claims that it will offer bright and fine-tuned visuals. The edges of the TV will sport a metallic finish and it will come equipped with Dolby-powered speakers.

The new smart TV will offer a new generation of PatchWall UI experience. It will feature far-field microphones for conveniently using the TV with Google Assistant. The microsite also states that it will arrive with “future-ready” specifications.

Mi Smarter Living 2022 event: expected launches

Apart from the Mi TV 5X, the company will be launching new laptops such as Mi Notebook Pro 14 and Mi Notebook Ultra 15. These notebooks are likely to arrive as rebadged versions of the RedmiBook Pro 14 and RedmiBook Pro 15 that debuted in China a few months ago. The new Mi Notebooks are expected to offer a 16:10 aspect ratio display, an 11th generation Intel Core processor, a backlit keyboard, a webcam, a Thunderbolt port, and more.

The Mi Band 6 fitness band is expected to offer features like a 1.56-inch AMOLED screen, up to 14 days of battery life, and important health sensors such as SpO2 tracker, heart-rate tracker, and sleep monitor. The event is also expected to see the arrival of Xiaomi’s first Wi-Fi router for India, a new security camera, a smart speaker, and a smart TV box.
