Xiaomi teases Mi TV Horizon Edition in India, to be launched on September 7th

Xiaomi has teased the launch of its upcoming flagship TV in India. According to a tweet by the brand, the upcoming smart TV will be called Horizon Edition. This confirms that the new launch will be a top of the line offering from the brand. Xiaomi also has a dedicated microsite for the upcoming smart TV on its official website, hinting at several key features of the TV.

The Horizon Edition suffix is a hint towards the display of the television, which is expected to feature thin bezels and offer an immersive viewing experience. We can also expect the upcoming smart TV from Xiaomi to feature a premium-looking design and loaded spec sheet.

Both Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain and the official Mi TV India twitter handle have tweeted the launch of the upcoming smart TV in India on September 7th. Both tweets have used the tagline, “Immersive. Work Of Art.” This seems to be hinting towards the bezel-less display and premium design of the upcoming television. The tweets and dedicated microsite also have a teaser image of the upcoming TV showing off its thin bezels.

The page on Xiaomi’s website reveals that the display will feature a technology to reduce eye strain. The TV will run PatchWall UI from Xiaomi and will offer over 5,000 apps for users to download. Xiaomi is also teasing a Quick Wake feature, which suggests that the TV can start up quickly from sleep.

As of now, Xiaomi has not revealed many details about the upcoming TV, but we can expect the brand to tease more details in the days leading up to the launch.
