In November 2019, Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi Mi Watch in China. It was followed up with a toned-down version called the Mi Watch Color in December 2019, which was rebranded in India as the Mi Watch Revolve. Today, the brand unveiled its new variant called the Mi Watch Color Sports Edition in its home market.

The Mi Watch Color Sports Edition offers a circular AMOLED display. It is a lightweight smartwatch that presents users with plenty of sports activity tracking features. The new wearable promises a battery life of up to 22 days. Some of its other highlights include GPS, health sensors, and voice assistant.

The Mi Watch Color Sports Edition weighs only 32.5 grams as it features a lightweight frame. It houses a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels resolution and it comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. With 5ATM water-resistance, the Mi Watch Color Sports Edition can be used for tracking activities like swimming.
When it comes to sensors, the Mi Watch Color Sports Edition is packed with a heart rate tracker, accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, barometer, ambient light sensor, and NFC. The latter can be used for making contactless payments. With a 12nm GPS chip onboard, the Mi Watch Sports Edition comes with support for location tracking through GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou.
The Sports Edition smartwatch offers 117 sports modes, and it carries support health-focused features stress tracking, sleeping tracking, measuring SpO2, 24/7 heart rate monitoring, and breathing exercises. The 420mAh battery of the smartwatch allows it to last for up to 16 days on regular usage. With battery saver activated, its battery life can be extended by up to 22 days. The smartwatch can last for up to 50 hours in the outdoor sports mode.
Through Bluetooth 5.0, the Mi Watch Color Edition can be paired with devices running on Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 10.0 or above. The smartwatch has a built-in voice assistant. Also, the appearance of the dial can be customised by using 120 different watch faces. Other features offered by the smartwatch include notifications, reminders, alarms, music control, and more.
Xiaomi Mi Watch Color Sports Edition pricing and availability
The Mi Watch Color Sports Edition has arrived with a pricing of RMB 699 (~Rs 7,700). In comparison, the Mi Watch Color was priced at RMB 799 (~Rs 8,800). The Sports Edition comes in colour options such as Elegant Black, Ivory, and Space Blue. These variants come with same-coloured TPU straps. Customers can also separately purchase straps in colours like red, green, and yellow.
