Xiaomi has launched a new smartwatch in China today. The smart wearable is called Mitu Children Learning Watch 4Pro and features dual cameras. According to the Chinese brand, it is meant for assisting parents in keeping track of their children’s whereabouts. A few days ago, Xiaomi launched Mi Watch Color in its home market with a circular screen and up to 1,540 customisable colour combinations. It also sports a large battery unit and multiple strap options. The Mi Watch Color is basically an affordable version of the Mi Watch that houses an AMOLED display, Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform and 4G VoLTE support.
Xiaomi Mitu Children Learning Watch 4Pro: specifications and features
The smartwatch sports a 1.78-inch display panel that provides a pixel density of 326ppi. The wearable is equipped with 2.5D curved glass for protection and reportedly, features a diamond-like coating process to avert scratches. Coming to its dual cameras, the wearable has a 5MP wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture and 8MP zoom camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the cameras can function simultaneously so that a parent can monitor their child and the surrounding area. The dual-frequency GPS can offer 24-hour tracking and the smartwatch also supports NFC and 4G LTE.
In terms of performance, it relies on Snapdragon Wear 2500 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It boots a skinned version of Android 8.1 so that children don’t face issues while using it, says Xiaomi. Furthermore, Mitu Children Learning Watch 4Pro sports ten-fold AI positioning to track accurately. It supports AI learning machines and a voice assistant. An English learning tool with oral support is also present while the AI can judge the accuracy of pronunciation.
Xiaomi Mitu Children Learning Watch 4Pro: price and availability
The Mitu Children Learning Watch 4Pro is priced at RMB 1,299 (~ Rs 13,400) and can be bought via Xiaomi Mall in China. However, no information about the wearable’s India availability is known yet.
