MIUI 13: Improved Performance

To offer enhanced performance with MIUI 13, the company has focused on four elements to ensure that a smartphone never feels old even after prolonged usage. According to Murali Krishnan, Xiaomi India’s Chief Operating Officer, devices running on MIUI 13 will be able to efficiently manage RAM and automatically allocate CPU and GPU resources to apps to ensure the best performance. The MIUI 13 brings an optimised file storage system (aka liquid storage), which promises 60 percent improved read/write efficiency. The company claims that the performance of devices running on MIUI 13 will be close to a brand-new device even after 36 months of use.

The RAM optimisation engine of the MIUI 13 closes inactive background processes to make room for newly opened apps so that they launch and run without any lag. This allows users to run more apps at the same time. The processor priority optimisation feature of the MIUI 13 gives priority to an active app to run smoothly. The Smart Balance feature of the MIUI 13 intelligently finds the balance performance and power consumption. Devices running on MIUI 13 offers 10 percent more battery performance than before.

MIUI 13: Refined design, multi-tasking features

For MIUI 13, Xiaomi has partnered with Beauty of Science to bring live wallpapers on its smartphones based on crystallisation processes of different substances like Vitamin C, citric acid, salicylic acid, and more. Xiaomi has partnered with various artists across the world to provide a bunch of new static wallpapers in MIUI 13.

For an enhanced multi-tasking experience, the MIUI 13 includes the new sidebar feature. It gives access to frequently used apps by swiping from the edge of the screen. In addition, the MIUI 13 continues to offer existing features like Mind Maps in the Notes app, Control Center, and Game Turbo.
