Xiaomi Pad 5 launch date in India announced, Amazon availability confirmed

Xiaomi Pad 5 launch date in India has been announced. The device will debut on April 27th at 12 noon in the country. It is also confirmed to be available from Amazon India With the Xiaomi Pad 5, the Chinese brand is expanding its product portfolio in India.

Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet has already debuted in China and was recently expanded in global markets as well. The Indian variant is expected to come with the same specifications as its global counterpart. The Xiaomi Pad 5 will take on the likes of the Realme Pad, Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, Lenovo Tab P11, Galaxy Tab S7 FE, and others in the market.

In the coming days leading up to the launch event, Xiaomi will be revealing key specifications of the upcoming Pad 5 on its microsite.

Since the Xiaomi Pad 5 has debuted in global markets, we can expect it to come with an 11-inch LCD display bearing a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, TrueTone display, 500 nits brightness, HDR10, and Dolby Vision support. The device has a boxy form factor and Redmi Note 10-like camera module housing a 13MP main sensor. 

The Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with quad-speakers with support for Dolby Audio. It is also compatible with a stylus called Xiaomi Smart Pen that can be magnetically attached to the tablet.

Internally, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 860 processor paired with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It is backed by an 8,720mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. The tablet runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
