Xiaomi Pad 5 has launched globally today. It has debuted alongside the Xiaomi 11T series and Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE smartphones. The company has launched only standard variant for global markets.
Xiaomi had launched the tablets in China last month however they carried the Mi branding which the company got rid of after 10 years. The global variant of the tablets retain the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart. The Xiaomi Pad 5 goes up against the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, iPad 9th gen, and others in the market.
Xiaomi Pad 5 specifications and features
The Xiaomi Pad 5 offers an 11-inch LCD screen bearing 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution. It boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, TrueTone display, 500nits brightness, HDR10, and Dolby Vision support. The tablet sports a boxy form factor and a 13MP rear camera module that looks similar to the Redmi Note 10 series. There is an 8MP front-facing snapper.
In terms of audio, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with quad-speakers with support for Dolby Audio. The tablet comes with support for a Bluetooth keyboard and a magnetically attachable Xiaomi smart pen that is said to be charged fully in 18 minutes.
Internally, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 860 SoC coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The device is powered by an 8,720mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 runs MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. Connectivity-wise, the Mi Pad 5 features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB-C port.

The Xiaomi Pad 5 standard variant is priced at € 349 (~Rs 30,294) for the base 6GB + 128GB variant while the 6GB + 256GB option costs € 399 (~Rs 34,634). The Xiaomi Pad 5 is offered in Cosmic Grey and Pearl White colours and will be available for purchase in European countries
