At an event in New Delhi today, Xiaomi has launched the latest iteration of its Redmi series of budget devices for the Indian market, the Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A.

The Redmi 6 Pro is the most high-end device of the lot, and also happens to be the first Xiaomi smartphone to be launched in India with a notch above the display. The handset features a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 660 processor paired with an Adreno 512 GPU. The smartphone features dual cameras at the rear in a 12MP + 5MP configuration. A 5MP camera at the front handles selfies and video calls. The device runs MIUI 8 based on Android Oreo. It features a fingerprint sensor located at the rear, and also offers face unlock.

The Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch 18:9 display with HD+ resolution. Under the hood you’ll find a Helio P22 chipset. It is available in two variants, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The camera department includes a 12MP + 5MP dual camera module, along with a 5MP selfie shooter. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9.6, and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It features dual-SIM cards with dual-VoLTE, and also gets a dedicated microSD card slot for expansion. Like the Redmi 6 Pro, the Redmi 6 also offers a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

The Redmi 6A is the most affordable smartphone of the lot. It sports a Helio A22 processor, and a 13MP rear camera. It is available in two configurations – 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB. The rest of the specifications are identical to the Redmi 6.

Coming to the pricing, the Redmi 6 Pro is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs 12,999 for the 64GB model.
