Xiaomi slashes Redmi K20, K20 Pro and Mi A3 prices in India

Xiaomi had recently introduced a limited period price cut for the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones in India. The sale which ended on January 17th allowed users to buy the Redmi K20 series for as low as Rs 19,999. Today, Xiaomi Global VP and Managing Director for India, Manu Kumar Jain announced new price cuts for the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro. Apart from the K20 models, the Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One phone is selling with revised pricing. It can be availed with a starting price of Rs. 11,999.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro price and specifications

The Redmi K20 series went official in India in July. At launch, the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variants of  the Redmi K20 were priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999 respectively. These models are now available with price tags of Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively.

The Redmi K20 Pro (review) was introduced in a 6GB + 128GB variant for Rs 27,999 and 8GB + 256GB edition for Rs 30,999. These models are now available with reduced price tags of Rs 24,999 and Rs 27,999 respectively. The K20 and K20 Pro can be brought with new pricing from Amazon India, Flipkart, and retail outlets.

The Redmi K20 duo come with some common specs like a 6.39-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, 20-megapixel pop-up selfie snappers, triple rear cameras and 4,000mAh batteries. The Redmi K20 has the Snapdragon 730 chipset whereas the Snapdragon 855 fuels the K20 Pro. The K20 supports 18W fast charging whereas the K20 Pro carries support for 27W fast charging. The K20 has a Sony IMX582 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple camera setup. On the other hand, the K20 Pro model has Sony IMX586 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 13-megapixel triple rear cameras with laser autofocus. Both phones run MIUI 11 based on Android 10.

Xiaomi Mi A3 price and specifications

The Xiaomi Mi A3 was unveiled in India in August. The phone had arrived in two models – 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The two variants were priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively. The Xiaomi Mi A3 (review) has an HD+ 6.09-inch S-AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and in-screen fingerprint reader. The Snapdragon 665 processor and 4,030mAh battery with 18W fast charging power the device. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera and 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple rear cameras. The handset comes loaded with the Android One version of Android 9 Pie and it will be updated to Android 10 in February.
