Xiaomi is launching the Redmi K20 Pro on July 17th, and we already know everything there is to know about the flagship. It is likely to more affordably priced than the current crop of flagship killers like the OnePlus 7 and ASUS 6Z. Ahead of the launch, let’s take a look at its five most stand-out features in detail.
1. Immersive AMOLED display with 91.9 screen-to-body ratio
The Redmi K20 Pro features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.080 x 2,340 pixels. The display lacks a notch as the phone plays host to a pop-up selfie camera. Its screen-to-body ratio is 91.9 percent and with features like eye protection mode and DC dimming, it is likely to impress the crowd. Unlike the other bezel-less devices, its chin is only 3.8mm thick.

2. Pop-up camera with LED notification light
As mentioned above, the K20 Pro features a pop-up selfie camera and hence, doesn’t need a notch. The selfie snapper on the Redmi K20 Pro sports a 20MP sensor that is capable of clicking wide-angle shots. An LED notification light is also part of the package and it blinks varied colours of light to signify different alerts. For instance, it blinks in blue when you receive a Facebook notification, and red when the battery of the phone is low.
3. Under-display fingerprint sensor
Xiaomi seems to have packed quite a lot into the Redmi K20 Pro. The phone also sports an in-display fingerprint sensor which can come as a pleasant surprise in this price range. The recently launched OnePlus 7 features an under-display fingerprint sensor, but the phone’s other competitor, the ASUS 6Z, lacks it.
4. Loaded spec sheet
In terms of specifications, the Redmi K20 Pro is capable of performing on par with more expensive flagships. It derives its power from the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and is the first Redmi phone to sport this chipset. The phone comes in four variants to suit different needs – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB of storage. It features an ample 4,000mAh battery capacity with support for 27W Fast Charging too. In terms of the software, it runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top.z
5. A powerful triple rear camera
The Redmi K20 Pro features a triple camera on the back with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 13MP super-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. It sports features like AI face recognition, AI scene detection, AI studio light effects, handheld super night scene mode and 960 fps slow-motion video shooting.
