The Redmi Note 10 series has debuted in the global market. Notably, the lineup includes two new devices – Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 10 5G. Compared to the Indian variants, they are slightly different in terms of specs and design. We don’t know if these devices will be made available in India.
Earlier today, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 10 series consisting of the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in India. The latest offerings are the first in the Redmi lineup to feature AMOLED displays. Read on to find out about the Redmi Note 10S and Note 10 5G.
Redmi Note 10S specifications and features
The Redmi Note 10S retains the same display and design as the Redmi Note 10. It has a 6.43-inch centre-aligned punch-hole AMOLED screen bearing FHD+ resolution. The back panel houses a rectangular camera module and there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
In the photography department, the Redmi Note 10S is equipped with a 64MP primary camera compared to 48MP on the standard Note 10. The other three sensors remain the same, including an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth and 2MP macro units. The device comes with a 13MP selfie shooter.
Another difference between the Redmi Note 10S and the standard Note 10 is that the former is powered by MediaTek Helio G95 chipset compared to Snapdragon 678. The smartphone’s packs up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
Redmi Note 10 5G specifications and features
The Redmi Note 10 5G is quite a different device compared to the other Redmi Note 10 offerings. It is the only device in the lineup that lacks an AMOLED display. It offers a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also has a smaller camera module along with a different sensor alignment compared to the other devices in the series.
The Redmi Note 10 5G also has downgraded cameras. The triple rear camera consists of a 48MP main sensor paired with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth lens. In the front, the device is fitted with an 8MP selfie snapper.
The Redmi Note 10 5G houses MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor with support for 5G connectivity. It is available in three RAM and storage configurations up to 6GB and 128GB respectively. The device draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging.
Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Note 10 5G pricing and availability
The Redmi Note 10S starts at $229 (~Rs 16,700) for the base 6GB + 64GB variant and $249 (~Rs 18,100) for the 6GB + 128GB model. The 8GB + 128GB option costs $279 (~Rs 20,300). It will go on sale from next month in Onyx Black, Pebble White and Ocean Blue colours.
The Redmi Note 10 5G will also be available from April in Onyx Gray, Glacier Blue and Gradient Bronze colour options. The smartphone’s 4GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB configurations are priced at $199 (~Rs 14,500) and $229 (~Rs 16,700) respectively.
