Xiaomi, the company which is often termed “China’s Apple,” is reportedly all set to launch the most-awaited Redmi Note 4 in India. The successor to last year’s hugely successful Redmi Note 3 is on the verge of being launched in India soon. There are reports that Xiaomi has started sending out media invites to an event scheduled In New Delhi for January 19.
It has been quite some time since reports sparked initially that the company upcoming Redmi phone might launch in India as soon as January this year. In fact, Xiaomi itself confirmed last month that it will soon come up with a new Redmi phone in India. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is already retailing in China starting at 999 Yuan (approximately Rs 10,000).
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 flaunts a metal unibody design and comes in Black, Blue, Silver, Gold, and Gray colour options. Up front, it features a 5.5-inch screen featuring 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution with the pixel density of 401 PPI. Powering internally is a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marhsmallow with MIUI8 on top.
However, it will reportedly come equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip in India. Similar to to its predecessor, Redmi Note 4 comes in two variants — 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 3GB RAM + 64GB storage. The built-in storage, however, supports further expansion up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card support.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 13MP rear snapper with dual-LED. On the front is a 5MP secondary camera for selfies. It also embraces a fingerprint scanner on the back, below the camera. Wrapping up the overall offerings is a bigger 4100mAh battery in addition to connectivity options i.e. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
