Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Reportedly Certified; Suggests MediaTek Helio X20

Reports suggest that Xiaomi’s rumoured Redmi Note 4X, which is said to be the upgraded Redmi Note 4, has now been certified in China. Even though the model name and number are not visible on TENAA listing, the phone’s image looks similar to Redmi Note 4, which is already retailing in China with the price starting at 999 Yuan. Earlier reports indicated that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Redmi Note 4X with Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset.

As far as the specifications revealed by TENAA listing are concerned, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution. It is powered by a 2GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with mali-T880 GPU for graphics. It comes in three memory options — 2GB RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage.

In terms of optics, the phone houses a 13MP primary camera on the back with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. There is also a fingerprint scanner as seen in the image, sitting right below the rear camera module. It is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 4000mAh battery. The device comes with Infrared (IR) support in addition to gravity sensor, proximity sensor, and light sensor.

Chinese cell phone maker Xiaomi is now readying the launch of Redmi Note 4 in India. There were also some reports earlier that the device may arrive in India sometime next month.
