Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in February in India. It appears that the company will soon its launch its successor smartphone since multiple reports have revealed the real-life images and specifications of the unannounced Redmi Note 6 Pro. In the past week, the handset had also appeared with official renders and full specs on AliExpress, a retailer site from China. Now, popular YouTuber Gaurav Chaudhary (aka Technical Guruji) has released an unboxing video of the 32 GB edition of the Redmi Note 6 Pro to reveal its design and specifications.
As it can be seen in the unboxing video, its retail box includes a black colored unit of Redmi Note 6 Pro, a 10W charger, a microUSB cable, a sim ejection tool, a transparent case and a user manual.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro features a metallic body with sleek finish and it bears resemblance with its predecessor Redmi Note 5 Pro. A vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner is placed on the back panel of the handset.
The right edge of the device features a volume rocker and a power key. The top edge of the smartphone features an IR blaster, a secondary microphone and 3.5mm audio jack. The left edge of the phone has a hybrid SIM slot. The external speakers and a microUSB port is placed on the bottom edge of the phone.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro features a notched IPS LCD display of 6.26 inches. The notch houses 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual selfie camera setup. The back panel features 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual camera system. The handset is loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that is overlaid with MIUI 9.6. Apart from fingerprint scanner, the handset also carries support for facial recognition.
The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 636 that includes 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. The 32 GB variant of the handset features 3 GB of RAM.
Recent reports have revealed that it will be available in a higher variant featuring 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes in advanced variant that features 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. There is no information available yet whether the Note 6 Pro will be also coming in 64 GB storage + 6 GB RAM edition.
According to Technical Guruji, the 32 GB Redmi Note 6 Pro carries a price tag of 750 Dirham in Dubai which converts to around ~Rs. 15,000 as per current exchange rates. Recent leaks have revealed that the handset will be coming in colors like Black, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Red.
The Redmi Note 6 Pro has bagged all the necessary certifications in China which indicates that its arrival could be around the corner. As of this writing, there is no official confirmation on the launch date of Redmi Note 6 Pro for India.
