Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 to Launch in India on February 28th

Xiaomi has been teasing the Indian arrival of the Redmi Note 7 since the beginning of this month. Today, Xiaomi’s Global Vice-President and Managing Director for India, Manu Kumar Jain has confirmed that the Redmi Note 7 will be debuting in India on February 28th.

Through the tweet, Jain has confirmed the launch date of Redmi Note 7 for India. The specifications of the smartphone are already known since it was unveiled in China earlier.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Specifications

The Redmi Note 7 features an IPS LCD screen measuring 6.3 inches that produces full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. It offers a tall aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is the first Redmi phone to sport a glass rear panel.

The MIUI 10-based Android 9 Pie comes preloaded on the Redmi Note 7. The Snapdragon 660 chipset powers the smartphone with up to 6GB of RAM. It offers a maximum internal storage of 64GB. For additional storage, the Note 7 is equipped with a dedicated microSD card slot.

A 48-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor are packed inside the vertical dual camera setup of the Redmi Note 7. For shooting selfies, it has a selfie camera of 13-megapixels. The handset includes a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for Quick Charge 4.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Go Launch Rumors

Xiaomi had confirmed last month that the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be made official in February in China. Rumors have it that the device will also make it to India. It will be equipped with a better Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary lens in its dual camera setup. The handset may arrive with a more powerful Snapdragon 675 processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The rest of its specs could be same as the non-Pro edition.

Earlier this month, the Xiaomi Redmi Go handset was made official in the Philippines. Recent reports have claimed that it may debut along with Redmi Note 7 phone. It is the first Android Go phone from the company that is packed with entry-level specs like 5-inch HD+ display, Snapdragon 425, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and 3,000mAh battery. It may launch in India in Black, Blue and Red variants.
