Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro smartphones in India through a launch event in Delhi. The Redmi Note 7 was unveiled in China in the previous month. The Note 7 that has arrived in India is packed with modified specs. Moreover, the company also announced the global launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro alongside its regular sibling.
Redmi Note 7 Pro Specifications and Features
The Redmi Note 7 features a glass rear with a glossy curved frame and rounded corners. The handset comes in three gradient colours such as Neptune Blue, Nebula Red and Space Black. It measures 159.2 x 75.2 x 8.1mm and weighs 186 grams. The front and rear sides of the phone are protected by Gorilla Glass 5 panels.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro features a waterdrop-style notch enabled LTPS IPS display measuring 6.3 inches. It offers full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by the 11nm Snapdragon 675 chipset which also powers the recently announced Vivo V15 Pro. The SoC is supported by up to 6GB of LPDDRX RAM. It offers users up to 128GB of internal storage.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a dual camera setup on its rear. It sports a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 as the primary sensor. It is the very same camera sensor that is found on high-end smartphones such as Honor View 20. The main sensor is coupled with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Xiaomi has included its AI driven Steady handheld night photography mode for capturing superior photos in low-light conditions. The Note 7 Pro is fitted with a front-facing camera of 13-megapixel. The smartphone carries support for 4K video shooting at 30fps through its rear cameras. The latest MIUI 10 based Android 9 Pie comes preinstalled on the device.
The 4,000mAh battery of the Redmi Note 7 Pro promises two-day performance on a single charge. The handset comes with 10W charging, but it carries support for 18W Quick Charge 4 fast charging. Redmi Note 7 Specifications and Features
The Redmi Note 7 borrows some of its specs from the more powerful Note 7 Pro. The Note 7 has a 6.3-inch full HD+ waterdrop-style notched screen. It is driven by the Snapdragon 660 SoC that is supported by up to 4GB of RAM. The handset includes up to 64GB of internal storage.
A 12-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel depth sensor comprise the dual camera setup of the Redmi Note 7. The selfie notch houses a front-facing camera of 13-megapixel. It includes a 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0. The handset is also loaded with MIUI 10 flavored Android 9 Pie.
The other features available on the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are a microSD card slot, IR blaster, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro are splash-resistant devices since they are equipped with a P2i nano-coating. The Redmi Note 7 comes in colours like Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Onyx Black.
Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro Pricing and Availability
The Redmi Note 7 comes in two models such as 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. They are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively.
The two variants of the Redmi Note 7 Pro are 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. These models are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively.
The Redmi Note 7 will be available for purchase at 12pm on March 6th on Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Flipkart. The Note 7 Pro will be available to purchase at 12pm on March 13th via the same outlets. Both phones will eventually be available via Mi Preferred Partners. In addition, Xiaomi has also introduced perforated cases for both devices which will be priced at Rs 349.
