Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S With 48MP Camera and 18W Fast Charging Launched: Price, Specifications

In February, Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. Today, the Chinese firm has announced a new smartphone called the Redmi Note 7S. In terms of specs, the newly unveiled phone is slotted between the Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. The major highlights of the phone include a tall aspect ratio display, a 48-megapixel dual camera and support for 18W rapid charging.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S Specifications

The glass bodied Redmi Note 7S measures 159.2 x 75.2 x 8.1mm and it comes with a P2i splash-resistant coating. The handset has a waterdrop notch display measuring 6.3-inches. It features full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The front and rear sides of the phone are protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Like the Redmi Note 7, the Note 7S is powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset, with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. There is a hybrid dual SIM card slot on the phone. The Note 7S features a 4,000mAh battery, and comes bundled with a standard 10W charger. However, it supports 18W charging, which can be purchased separately from Xiaomi’s stores.

The Redmi Note 7S is fitted with a dual camera setup on its rear. It includes a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The dual cameras features PDAF, EIS and AI Portrait Mode. For capturing selfies, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13-megapixel selfie snapper. The front camera carries support for AI Portrait mode.

Android 9 Pie skinned with MIUI 10 is preinstalled on the Redmi Note 7S. The other features of the phone include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, IR Blaster, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S Price and Release Date

The Redmi Note 7S comes in two models – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. These models are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively. It will be available for purchase Mi.Com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores from May 23rd.  The smartphone can be availed in Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red colours. Its retail box includes a free case.
