Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 8 Pro in October last year. The device arrived in three colour options i.e Shadow Black, Garima Green, and Halo White. Back in November, the Redmi Note 8 Pro was offered in Deep Sea Blue (Electric Blue in India) colour in its home country. Now Xiaomi is introducing the smartphone in a new Twilight Orange colour option with a gradient finish. The new colour variant will go on sale in China from today. It is available only in 6GB + 64GB and 8GB + 128GB configurations. At the moment, it’s unknown when the Redmi Note 8 Pro Twilight Orange variant will make its way to the Indian market.
Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications and features
The specifications of the Twilight Orange colour variant remain the same as the earlier models. The Redmi Note 8 Pro (first impressions) sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch on the top. The screen is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. The back of the phone houses a vertically stacked quad-camera setup with a fingerprint scanner below it. The camera module comprises of a 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2MP macro and depth camera. In the front, the device features a 20MP selfie snapper.
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor. It is available in three configurations w.r.t. RAM and storage, up to 8GB and 128GB respectively. The smartphone is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the handset comes with 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, and A-GPS with GLONASS.
Software-wise, the Redmi Note 8 Pro boots Android 9 with MIUI 10 on the top out of the box. Notably, the company recently released the latest MIUI 11 update for the smartphone that’s based on the latest version of Android i.e. Android 10. The global variants of the handset will get the same update in the coming weeks.
