Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 8 series in August last year. The company is preparing for its upcoming smartphone in the Redmi Note lineup. Earlier today, Xiaomi India MD, Manu Kumar Jain had taken to Twitter to share a cryptic tweet and asking users to spot the upcoming device. The use of the hashtag #ILoveRedmiNote suggested that Jain was talking about the Redmi Note 9. Now the company has set up an event page on its official website confirming the smartphone’s arrival on March 12. Xiaomi has also roped in Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh to endorse its upcoming smartphone.
My main man @RanveerOfficial. Of course 9️⃣ ayega. And it'll be here very soon. ?
Legend says that it takes only 9️⃣ secs to spot the 9️⃣ in this photo! ?
Mi Fans, are you fast enough? Screenshot it & tweet with #ILoveRedmiNote!

The tweet doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming device. From the image, a speaker grill, USB-C port and headphone jack are visible at the bottom edge. The back panel is expected to be made out of glass and the device could arrive in a blue colour variant. On the other hand, the event page states that the Redmi Note 9 will arrive with powerful specifications. It is teased to sport a quad-camera setup in a square module. Earlier this month, Jain had tweeted that the upcoming Redmi smartphones will arrive with powerful processors and improved user experience. The device is also confirmed to come with support for ISRO’s NaVIC navigation system.
The Redmi Note 9 will arrive as the successor to the Redmi Note 8 series. It will likely retain the 64MP quad-camera setup and be powered by Snapdragon 7xx processor
It is also possible that Xiaomi could also launch the Redmi 9 at the same event, which is speculated to come with the Helio G70 processor that powers the recently launched Realme C3. We expect more details to be announced by the smartphone maker in the coming days.
