Xiaomi Redmi Y3 with 32MP Selfie Camera and Big Battery Debuting Soon

Last month, the Redmi Y3 smartphone was spotted on the database of the Wi-Fi Alliance certification body. The listing only confirmed that it supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and it runs Android 9 Pie. The Redmi India Twitter account has confirmed through a teaser that it will be launching a selfie-centric Redmi phone in India soon. Xiaomi India chief Manu Kumar Jain also tweeted with a  #YYY hashtag that he took 32 selfie shots with his colleagues. These clues suggest that the company will be soon announcing the Redmi Y3 selfie-focused smartphone in India.

The Redmi Y3 will be arriving as a successor for the Redmi Y2 smartphone that came with an LED flash assisted 16-megapixel selfie camera. A newer tweet from Redmi India suggests that the upcoming Redmi Y3 will be arriving with a long-lasting battery.

The Redmi Y3 is expected to feature the 32-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GD1 sensor. The recently announced Huawei P30 Pro flagship smartphones and Vivo V15 Pro are also equipped with the same selfie camera sensor. Redmi General Manager for China, Lu Weibing has also hinted that the company may launch a 32-megapixel Redmi phone in China. Last year, the Redmi S2 selfie-focused smartphone was announced in May. The same phone was made available as Redmi Y2 in India in June. Hence, there is a possibility that Redmi Y3 phone may get unleashed Redmi S3 in China in May. Probably, the Y3 may also go official in coming month in India

There are no leaks on the specification of the Redmi Y3. However, early rumors indicate that the phone could be equipped with a waterdrop-style notched display. It is speculated that before the launch of Redmi Y3, the Chinese may launch the Redmi 7 smartphone in the country. The handset features a 6.26-inch HD+ waterdrop notched display, Snapdragon 632 SoC, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of inbuilt storage and 4,000mAh battery
