Xiaomi Smart Glasses is equipped with the MicroLED optical wavelength technology

The Xiaomi Smart Glasses look and feel like regular glasses as they weigh only 51g. The company has opted for a monochrome display solution for its first-ever smart glasses, which can reach a peak brightness of 2 million nits. This allows users to use the smart glasses under direct sunlight. The glasses are equipped with MicroLEDs for backlighting and a display chip. In addition, there is optical wavelength technology that refracts lights 180 degrees to carry the image from the MicroLED chip to the human eye.

In addition to showing basic notifications for incoming calls and messages, it can be also used for navigation by showing on-screen maps and directions, taking photos, as a teleprompter, and for real-time text and photo translations. All the major functions of the glasses can be accessed by means of the XiaoAi AI assistant.

The Xiaomi Smart Glasses are powered by a quad-core ARM, a battery, and Android OS. They offer connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It also features a 5-megapixel camera for snapping photos. They also feature speakers and dual beamforming microphones, which can be used for transcribing audio into text in real-time.

Xiaomi did not confirm the pricing and availability of the Xiaomi Smart Glasses. Now that it has showcased a concept device, it seems that the company could be working on a new pair of smart glasses as a mass-market product, which may debut at some point in the future.
