Xioami Mi 5s With 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 821 Leaked

There are rumors floating around the Internet regarding an upcoming smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi dubbed Xioami Mi 5s, which reportedly packs in 6GB RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. If rumors are to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi 5s will have the exact same screen as the one on the Xiaomi Mi 5. However, the only difference is that the screen will now have a 2K resolution as opposed to a Full HD (1920 x 1080) on the Xioami Mi 5.

As far as the leaked specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 5s packs a 3,490mAh battery alongside the Qualcomm-backed Quick Charge 3.0 compatibility. While the Xiaomi Mi 5 came with a 3,000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. As mentioned already, the Xiaomi Mi 5s will reportedly be powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC. Although the Xiaomi Mi 5 has the Snapdragon 821 running inside, the clock speed and the performance efficiency will undoubtedly be better on this upcoming Xiaomi smartphone.

The leaked screenshot reveals that this upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5s flagship will be clocked at as high as 2.4GHz. That aside, the phone will have a 6GB LPDDR4 RAM. As far as the storage capacity is concerned, the Xiaomi Mi 5s will climb to 256GB (UFS 2.0), which is double the storage as compared to the Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro edition with 128 GB internal storage. However, we have also come across a different report saying the Xiaomi Mi 5s may arrive in two memory variants — 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage as well as 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage.

Talking about the rest of the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 5s will sport the same 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 4 axis OIS. Other than that, it will also have a USB Type-C connectivity support. Although there are no much details available regarding its availability, the Xiaomi Mi 5s is expected to arrive soon as next month.
