Xiaomi-backed Yi technology has launched the Yi Smart Dash Camera for cars in India. The company already offers the Yi Action Camera, Yi 4K Action Camera, and Yi Home Security Camera in its product portfolio.
The Yi Smart Dash Camera can be installed in your car by attaching it to the dashboard. The device will record information while you drive around. The camera comes with an advance driver assistant system (ADAS) that makes the driving experience safer. The system analyses data such as speed and distance of the vehicle in front, and sends real-time audio alerts. The lane departure warning alerts the driver when they stray out of the lane, while the collision warning system detects the distance between your car and the vehicle in front.
The Yi Smart Dash Camera has a 165-degree wide-angle lens that can monitor 3 lanes and reduce blind spots. The 6G all-glass lens has an aperture of f/1.8 which the company claims can record crisp and clear videos. It features Ultra high sensitivity imaging and Night Vision that can aid a safer driving experience in low light conditions. The device is capable of recording 1080p videos at 60fps and 30fps respectively. The camera is equipped with a G-sensor that allows it to automatically record and save footage in case of emergency. All videos are stored on an SDcard.
The Yi Smart Dash Camera has a 2.7-inch 1080p screen in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The device also offers touch functionalities. The camera comes with Wi-Fi support allowing users to view real-time footage or playback recordings from the dash camera app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play store.
