Zen Mobile, an Indian mobile manufacturing company has launched a new budget phone — Zen Admire Star in sub 5K category at INR 3,290 in the country. The new phone is aimed at the Tier-II as well as Tier-III markets in India. Apparently, the key attraction in the Zen Admire Star has to be the SOS feature, which enables users to share their location with up to five emergency contacts at a time.
When it comes to its specification rundown, Zen Admire Star features a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution and 218 ppi pixel density. It runs a fairly up to date Android 6.0 Marshmallow software out of the box. The Dual SIM Zen Admire Star is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB RAM. Talking about the camera, it has a 5-megapixel primary camera alongside LED flash. At the front, it has a 1.3-megapixel selfie camera.
As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the Zen Admire Star supports 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The phone, unfortunately, have no support for LTE/VoLTE support. It comes with a standard 3.5mm audio jack in addition to FM Radio. Last but not the least, the Zen Admire Star packs a 2000mAh battery. The battery is supposed to offer up to 6 hours talk time as well as up to 200 hours standby time. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The phone reportedly comes pre-installed with numerous apps such as Zen Care, Saavn, UC Mini browser, NextGenTV, VuLiv, and Zen App Cloud, etc. The company says that it is constantly working on fulfilling consumers’ demands. Zen Mobile also believes that the company will be in a strong position by what the Admire Star offers at such a low price point.
