Ziox Mobiles recently marked its entry into the Indian market with the Duopix F1 and has now come up with another entry-level smartphone dubbed as the Duopix R1. With this phone, Zionix Mobiles has integrated dual-rear cameras as well which is its unique selling point. The phone will set you back Rs. 6,249 making it a very lucrative deal. Let’s have a closer look and see if it’s worth its price tag.
Display and Design
The Duopix R1 has a metal design giving it a premium feel. Since the phone is an entry-level device, it lacks a fingerprint sensor. The front of the phone is where its 5-inch LCD IPS display is located. The display has a resolution of 1080 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of about 294 PPI. The rear side of the phone is where its major highlight is housed – the dual camera setup. This setup is accompanied by an LED flash and some branding by the company.
Performance and Storage
Underneath its skin, the phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.25GHz. To compliment that, the brand has also packed in 1GB of RAM for smooth multitasking. In terms of storage, the phone is equipped with 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded externally through a microSD card. On the software front, the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
In the optics department, as mentioned above, the phone rocks a dual-rear camera setup which comprises of a 13-megapixel sensor accompanied with a secondary 0.3-megapixel sensor. This is accompanied with an LED flash to aid in low-light photography. Up front, the Duopix R1 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie enthusiasts.
Connectivity and Battery
As far as connectivity is concerned, the latest offering from Ziox offers all the conventional solutions such as 2G, 3G, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi and Bluetooth. For charging and data transfer purposes, the phone is equipped with a microUSB port on the bottom. The smartphone draws power from a 2,600mAh battery located under its skin.
