ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G with Snapdragon 865 and up to 12GB RAM goes official

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE is well on its way to launching the world’s first smartphone powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. While tech giants like Samsung and Xiaomi are yet to unveil their Snapdragon 865 powered phones, ZTE has listed the Axon 10s Pro on its website. The official listing clearly mentions hardware specifications, leaving out only the price and release date. ZTE had earlier announced its intentions of showcasing the Axon at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 later this month. It seems like the Chinese firm plans to stick to its earlier commitments.

The ZTE Axon 10s Pro is expected to be showcased at MWC later this month

The ZTE Axon 10s Pro is a 5G smartphone that flaunts a 6.47-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 6GB or 12GB of RAM, paired with 128GB and 256GB of native storage respectively. In terms of optics, the device flaunts a triple-camera setup complete with a 48-megapixel lens, a 20-megapixel wide-angle sensor with 125-degree field-of-view, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The smartphone flaunts a 20-megapixel selfie sensor in the front.

The ZTE Axon 10s Pro 5G is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4+ and USB Power Delivery. The previous ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G came with wireless charging. There is no mention of wireless charging on the official listing of the Axon 10s Pro 5G. The handset flaunts ultra-linear stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra and Bluetooth v5.0. The Axon 10s Pro misses out on a 3.5mm headphone port. The device sports an in-display fingerprint scanner for security, and runs the Android 9 Pie based MiFavor 10.

The Axon 10s Pro gets an upgrade over its predecessor with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. ZTE also claims to use FS Booster and RAM Booster to increase read/write speeds. ZTE further implemented Link Booster that combines cell and local networks to improve stability and speeds by up to 50 percent. This is possible due to the presence of 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. In the past, ZTE has never sold its Axon branded phones in India. Hence, it is unlikely that the 5G ready Axon 10s Pro will be coming to India.
