ZTE has launched a new budget smartphone, the Blade A5 2019, today. The affordable device comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display, 8MP selfie shooter and octa-core processor. The company launched the ZTE Blade A7 in the beginning of this month and has added another budget device to its portfolio today.
ZTE Blade A5 2019: specifications and features
The phone has been launched with a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. However, the phone carries visible bezels on all sides. The Blade A5 2019 is powered by the UNISOC Spreadtrum SC9863A octa-core processor, clocked at 1.6GHz, along with a PowerVR IMG8322 GPU. The performance is further handled by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The latter can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
In the camera department, this newly launched budget phone features a 13MP main shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. The device carries an 8MP sensor for selfie enthusiasts with an aperture of f/2.4. The camera setup is laced with features like HDR and Panorama. The ZTE Blade A5 2019 carries a 2,600mAh battery and runs Android 9.0 Go Edition out-of-the-box. Connectivity-wise, the device ha Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio.
ZTE Blade A5 2019: price and availability
The phone has been launched in two colour variants – Blue and Black. It is available for buying in Russia for a price of RUB 6,490 or (~Rs 7,000). There’s no word on the phone’s global release yet.
