Editor Notes

Samsung phones have always enjoyed mass public interest in the past, with a lot of models in the market it is getting hard to make a choice in the ever increasing Samsung range. The Samsung Galaxy A7 and the Samsung Galaxy E7 are two popular phones targeted at different users. Although both the devices have a 5.5 inch AMOLED display, the Galaxy A7 has a higher resolution of 1920x1080 pixels when compared to the 1280x720 pixels resolution on the Galaxy E7.

The main difference in the device can be seen in the performance division. The A7 sports a 1.5GHz Octa Core processor with 2GB of RAM whereas the E7 has a 1.2GHz Quad Core processor with 2GB of RAM. The A7 gets an advantage here thanks to the Snapdragon 615 chipset that it has because of it being a Octa core unit and being 64 bit enabled. Both the devices run TouchWiz UI on top of Android 4.4 Kitkat. The 2GB of RAM is adequate but it may be preoccupied with bloatware on both the devices. They both have 16GB of internal storage for apps and user data and have a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 64GB.

The Galaxy A7 and the Galaxy E7 both have a 13 megapixel autofocus camera at the back and is capable of recording video at 1080p. At the front both the devices have a 5 megapixel camera, so both these devices are equally matched in terms of the camera. For connectivity, both the devices have 2 SIM slots but the Galaxy A7 seems better equipped as it comes with 4G LTE connectivity and NFC support. As for the battery, both the devices have non removable batteries. The Galaxy A7 has a 2600mAh battery while the Galaxy E7 has a bigger 2950mAh battery, both the devices have non removable batteries.

These phones come from different series, the Galaxy A7 has an all metal body while the Galaxy E7 has a plastic body. The overall build quality, processing power and display of the A7 is better than the E7. The E7 however gets a slight advantage in terms of battery size and lower price.
