Editor Notes

Sony Xperia C has a higher price than Moto G but Moto G overall has better features than Xperia C. To start off with Moto G is updateable to Android KitKat version whereas chances don’t seem to be that great for the Xperia C to receive an update. There’s a huge difference in the screen size, Moto G has a 4.5 inch display whereas Xperia C has a bigger 5 inch one. But, Moto G has 720 x 1280 pixels (326ppi) whereas Xperia C has lower 540 x 960 pixels (220ppi), which makes the Moto G deliver a much crisper pixel density. Moto G’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which is lacking in Xperia C. Another major distinction is that Moto G runs the 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad core processor, while Xperia C has a 1.2GHz quad core Mediatek processor. Benchmarks suggest that the Moto G’s chipset blows away the XPERIA C in terms of performance in every respect.

The storage space of both these phones vary — Xperia C has only 4GB of internal storage but it can be expanded up to 32GB by microSD card. Moto G lacks microSD card provision but it does provide ample internal storage of up to 16GB. The Xperia C has a 8MP primary camera whereas Moto G has a 5MP sensor. But the front-facing camera on the Moto G is a higher 1.3MP, while the XPERIA L just has a VGA (0.3MP) sensor. The battery on the Xperia C (2390 mAh) is bigger than one on the Moto G (2070 mAh).
